RUFSKIN is currently celebrating 22 years since the brand was born in a small garage in South Park, San Diego, California.
Since 2002, RUFSKIN has become more of a lifestyle for its wearers, rather than just another pair of jeans. The Southern California-based brand, which also includes underwear, swimwear, sportswear, leisurewear, and accessories, was created to enhance the individuality and freedom of the body, while at the same time, helped redefine the concept of what sexy can look like. The concept of the brand focuses on the California Lifestyle. RUFSKIN often uses the California desert as their location background for ad campaigns in addition to their pet project, RUFHOUSE, an e-magazine featuring photographic essays from current collections and locations.
RUFSKIN's production practice lowers their carbon footprint by designing and manufacturing everything locally in Southern California.

Douglas et Hubert se sont rencontrés à Paris, en France, alors qu'ils travaillaient dans le secteur de la mode. Peu de temps après, ils ont eu les yeux rivés sur les États-Unis et ont trouvé plus tard leur maison en Californie. Having the freedom to harness their creativity as their own clients is both rewarding and fun. Photographing their own ad campaigns and online product images is their “escape” from their daily lives. Both gents have always had attachment to the fashion business in some form or another; from previous jobs as a model, talent scouting and photography; these have all influenced their drive to create original photos that are sexy and inviting.
